Make a Child's Christmas!

When i was in school we used to do this thing called 'Love in a box' where we all made a shoe box and brought it into school for another child, This year i don't know what reminded me about it but i thought my little sister doesn't do this at school anymore and people are slowly forgetting about love in a box. I think its such a nice thing to do something nice near this time of year.

This year why not help to make a child's christmas feel like a proper christmas. Create a shoe box fill with old and new stuff in any shoe box and decorate it with christmas paper. Closing date this Friday 18th November its not too late to make a difference! Go to the website to find your nearest drop off point get friends, family and even your work mates to get involved.

Remember to write on the box the age of the child and the gender that it is aimed at!

Boy- 2-4 yrs
5-9 yrs
10-14yrs

Girl- Exactly the same

We suggest a minimum of £2.50 donation per shoebox - which helps ensure your shoebox gets to where it needs to go. Please donate online if at all possible - so we can tell you where your shoebox went. If not, please complete the donation slip from the downloaded OCC leaflet, enclose a cash or cheque donation, and then place the payment/slip in your shoebox on top of the contents.

Hello all! we'll i have been extremely busy between work, working on a little design project for Tallulah Love, Making my new jewellery line and designing in general! I am hoping that my new jewellery line will be launching either before Christmas or just after, this will be sold in a few boutiques, a high end beauty salon and online :) I have also had some exciting news about designing another collection for another charity fashion show either in June or June 2012 if i have time it will be very exciting. Anyways this is just a glimpse at some of my jewellery!! I will be making a children's range to go along side too which my little sister will be modelling for me, I will post pictures after the shoot :)

Daily browsing and I came across the ear cuffs, I used to have these as I child I had all different designs and colours. And there back! from plain ear cuffs, to hanging cuffs even statement crystal ear cuffs. I couldn't help but purchasing the hanging chains ear cuff and comb for my upcoming catwalk show, I love how it combs into the hair when up I cant wait to try it out on my model.

These are my Midnight Mayhem socks they are over the knee socks. These socks are all hand beaded sewn on by me myself these actually take hours to bead and this pair is not complete yet this is my second pair hopefully will have them done by the end of today. Hope you all like :)

Just a quick peak at one of my new collections Autumn/Winter 2011 I am still working on these garments as beading and pattern cutting does take hours and hours. I have decided to make this collection unlike my other one ready- to- wear. I have used a colour palette of pink, purples, greys and black. Alot of my top are quite simplistic in terms of pattern cutting and then I have used heavy embellishment and vintage buttons to bring the garments to life. This garments below still have a long way to go, My bottoms consists of extravagant skirts, plain dresses with heavy embellishment and beaded knee high socks. I have also decided to beads some of the shoes and accessories bye bye bank balance as beads have turned out to be very expensive well good quality ones are. I will try and post on 5 pictures a week of my new garments and accessories. Hope you all like :)

.... Connection brings us the wooden clutch bag, and in a weird kind of way I like them! would look great teamed with a casual printed maxi dress or any day wear really and not badly priced. I must say i love the colour Aqua i would probably say it is one of my favourite colours i use it within design but i never really wear it myself! Until i found these aqua shoes, god knows what i will pair them with but I'm exciting to wear them for the upcoming Pr event in London.

Im still loving my new shoes even if they arent quite as nice as Beyonce's Christian Louboutin pair.

Today i have literally just got back from a long 3 hour drive from the black eyed peas concert but things must go on. Hello Topshop sale! Topshop seemed to have alot of natural coloured shirts, blazers and trousers there was some absolute bargains. I particularly liked these two shirts and this grey coloured blazer very simplistic pieces that could be worn everyday and then dolled up with a pair of heels and clutch.

To start designing for Spring/Summer 2012.. 2012 gosh how fast that has come around. Well this Spring/Summers designs, colours and trends have left me inspired for 2012, colour blocking a major trend of this summer has totally left me with a new approach on how to play with colour. Im scouting Vogue, WGSN, photographs and old magazines for ideas as my lingerie designs need to be in by the end of the week wish me look. peace out.

Just a sketch before i put it onto illustrator and transform this ugly duckling into something beautiful.

Tomorrow i am hitting the shops with my sketchbook in search for inspirational garments, objects and people.

Last night i went to Northumbria Graduate Fashion Show some of the piece's of clothing were amazing but there were a few show stoppers that caught my eye these are shown below.

This is a piece from Katy Jarvis's collection the jacket with the prined and embellished camel on it was my favourite you can clearly see the thought and time that has gone into it. The whole collection flowed really well and it was a nice change to see some colour. The playful collecion was inspired by elephant/colour, festivals and historical RAF plane manuals and was made from Spring/Summer.
