2014: The Year of the Pastel

Spring and summer are rapidly approaching us and although they were fairly popular last year, it has already become clear that pastels are set to be a pivotal trend in high street fashion this year so I, being my overeager self, decided to investigate what our favourite high street shops have in store for us these coming seasons. 

TOPSHOP

What I’m looking forward to the most from Topshop are these leather look, pale pink lace up boots by Atom. These are similar in style to boots Topshop has had in its previous collections including the extremely comfortable and durable Asterix platform boots, however these possess an open-toed, summer friendly twist certain to add a soft pop of colour to your spring/summer wardrobe.

Tips: Why not contrast the softness of the pink with a bold, blood-orange nail varnish or let your nails go bare to embrace the laid back look. 

NEWLOOK

Single for Valentine’s Day? New Look have you covered with their line of boyfriend coats that I am loving this year.  Slouchy yet sophisticated, if you’re as sick as I am of wearing your heavy, thick winter coat, this will be a welcome addition to your wardrobe.
